GOLD CIRCLE ENTERTAINMENT NAMES CLIFFORD SCHULTZ AS NATIONAL SALES DIRECTOR
OMAHA, NEBRASKA - Michael Delich, President of Gold Circle Entertainment, Inc., has announced the appointment of Clifford Schultz to the position of National Sales Manager for the company's record label, Samson Music.
"We're pleased to welcome Cliff to the Gold Circle/Samson Music family," says Delich. "He's someone who brings a proven track record to his position as National Sales Manager. I've worked with Cliff in the past and I knew he'd be a perfect fit. He's a guy who makes things happen."
Although music was a passion for Schultz, it wasn't his first career choice. However, he turned a chance meeting into a promotion manager's position in the Minneapolis office of Capitol Records and, from 1975 through 1990, he worked his way up through the ranks of Capitol/EMI. His sales and promotions skills enabled him to achieve spectacular results at every stage of his career with the company and also earned him recognition as Capitol's Salesman of the Year in 1985. His success led to Schultz being named National Sales Manager for EMI, followed by a position as National Sales Manager for CEMA Distribution, where he developed and directed successful marketing campaigns for new and established artists on several labels. In 1990, Schultz joined American Gramaphone, where he first met and worked with Michael Delich. He left American Gramaphone in 1996 to accept a position as the Eastern Sales & Marketing Manager with JVC Music, Inc. He'd been in that post for 18 months when Delich called with an invitation to join Gold Circle. Schultz, who also pilots his own high-performance aircraft and holds a 100-ton Coast Guard Captain's license, will be developing marketing campaigns for Samson Music artists and serve as the liaison with the company's distributor, RED Distribution.
