JAMES RAYMOND TO CREATE ORIGINAL MUSIC FOR NEW CBS DRAMA

OMAHA, NEBRASKA - C.P.R. keyboardist/composer James Raymond will create a range of original music and handle the music production for "To Have and To Hold", a new CBS network dramatic series set to debut this fall. Set in Boston, the program revolves around the lives of two main characters, Annie, a public defender, and her husband, Sean, a Boston police detective who often find themselves on opposite sides of issues because of their professions. In the show, Annie is played by Moira Kelly and Sean is played by Jason Beghe. The supporting cast includes Jason Wiles, Stephen Lee and Stephen Largay. Raymond will compose the series theme song, score all 12 episodes in the initial package, and write and produce additional original songs and coversongs for the show.

"I'm really excited to be working on such a great show my first time out," says Raymond. "It's going to be a lot of fun to score because the backdrop calls for the music to reflect the Irish roots of the characters."

Raymond will work on the television series while juggling stints with C.P.R., a new trio that features Raymond, two-time Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame inductee David Crosby (Crosby, Stills & Nash, The Byrds), and guitarist Jeff Pevar (who has toured/performed with Crosby & Nash, Ray Charles, James Taylor, Rickie Lee Jones, Carly Simon, Joe Cocker, Donald Fagen, Jackson Browne and many others). The group, which formed after Crosby and Raymond first met as biological father and son after 33 years, released its self-titled debut album on Omaha, Nebraska-based Samson Music earlier this year.

"To be in a band as innovative as C.P.R. and to compose for television and film is to be doing exactly what I want to be doing," adds Raymond.
