Michael Delich
President/COO

Michael Delich brings a solid record of success in music marketing and management to his position as President and Chief Operating Officer of Gold Circle Entertainment, Inc. Among his strengths are his expertise in both traditional and alternative methods of selling music, his experience in developing an artist's or act's fan base, and his ability to manage production costs without sacrificing quality-all key strategies behind Gold Circle's innovative approach to marketing music.

Delich attended the University of Nebraska and left to work in the consumer electronics business as a principal in Throckmorton Sales. At Throckmorton, Delich developed his interest in the music business while representing "high-end" record companies such as Nautilus Recordings, Century and Crystal Clear. He later joined a large, regional one-stop distributor, Records & Tapes, Inc., in Omaha, where he was Director of Operations.

Delich then took a position as Director of Sales with American Gramaphone. A small company doing about $1 million a year in sales, Delich stayed with American Gramaphone for 11 years, during which time the company grew at a phenomenal rate. Their growth was largely due to the business model that Delich created for the company, which sold 25 million albums during his tenure. The model was so effective, it helped American Gramaphone achieve its position as one of the prominent independent record companies in America.

In late 1996, through a business acquaintance, Delich met Norm Waitt, Jr. When the two began discussing Waitt's concept of a new entertainment company, Delich helped Waitt clarify his direction for the company. And, when Waitt asked Delich to join him in the new venture, Delich agreed.

Delich credits Waitt's interest in music and his desire to make a contribution to the music business as key factors that attracted him to Gold Circle. Convinced that Waitt was in it for the long haul, Delich joined the company as President and Chief Operating Officer.

In his position, Delich shares Waitt's commitment to building a community around the music. He wants everyone to be able to contribute freely and also to share in the reward-an attitude that goes back to the artists as well. While his primary focus is on company operations, he also he involved in looking at acquisitions that will help the company meet its musical and commercial objectives.
