Glen
Kampschneider Glen Kampschneider brings a strong, diverse financial management background to his position as Gold Circle's Controller. His expertise covers the full complement of accounting functions (general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, billing, accounts receivable, commission processing and budgeting) and auditing of both private and public companies. He also is experienced in the critical area of handling corporate financial reporting requirements with such agencies as the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc. (NASD). In joining Gold Circle, he welcomes the challenge of working with a start-up company and will look to develop and administer the systems, operational controls and financial management tools that will help the company grow. After graduating with a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln and passing his CPA exam, Kampschneider joined Arthur Andersen & Co. During his five years with the major accounting firm, he was involved in auditing various businesses in a wide range of industries. Among his achievements, he helped develop an initial public stock offering (IPO) for Werner Enterprises, Inc., a national trucking firm based in Omaha. Once the IPO was successfully launched, Kampschneider decided to join Werner Enterprises and, in 1986, he became the company's Assistant Controller (acting upon his desire to work for a private company). Within two years, he was promoted to the position of Accounting and Financial Reporting Manager. Responsible for a diverse array of financial and corporate management activities, Kampschneider also handled all financial reporting to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc. (NASD). In addition, he was in charge of developing new control procedures, handling monthly financial statement closings and related analysis, and developing a second successful public stock offering for the firm. In 1992, Kampschneider became the Chief Financial Officer of GWR Financial, Inc., an Omaha-based regional brokerage and investment banking group. Again, his responsibilities included the handling of NASD filings and other regulatory compliances-all this while learning about the brokerage business, passing his Financial Operations Principal exam, building a house and supporting his wife who was expecting their second child. In 1997, with the financial management operation at GWR caught up and running smoothly, Kampschneider began to look for new challenges. Not seeing those kind of opportunities within the company, he began to look elsewhere. A former colleague at Arthur Andersen recommended that he contact Gold Circle, which was just starting up at that time. Liking the idea of working with a small, start-up company that had potential for substantial growth and also liking the idea of working in the music business, Kampschneider met with Michael Delich and expressed interest in the Controller's position. Since he began working with the company in July, 1997, Kampschneider has been involved in all aspects of financial administration for the company, including payroll administration, financial reporting, contract review, office administration and the strategic planning for Gold Circle's various acquisitions. Among his strengths are the breadth and depth of his experience in corporate financial administration for both private and public companies. He has handled everything from monthly and annual reporting to developing employee stock option/purchase plans to preparing public stock offerings to supervising office personnel and more. As Gold Circle's Controller, Kampschneider welcomes the challenges that come along with a growing company. He sees the multiple responsibilities that fall on his shoulders as an opportunity for personal growth, and he welcomes the chance to play an integral role in the company's long-term growth and success. |
